The original Boiler House was built in 1933 and provided heat and power for the former Rochford Hospital that was demolished in 1997. The hospital site was then acquired by a London developer and converted into 27 loft apartments and four penthouses.

    

The plot also includes three new  purpose built loft  apartment buildings. Little Lofts, the Gate House and the Cube.The main Boiler House was completed in 2001 followed by The Cube in 2004.

  

The web site and message board has been set up  as a point of contact for all the residents on the development.
